The Service
ShelfScore provides AI search readiness auditing for Shopify stores. The app analyzes product data completeness, JSON-LD schema markup coverage, and AI crawler bot access configurations to generate a composite readiness score and prioritized improvement recommendations. Audit results are intended to help merchants understand and improve their visibility in AI-powered search surfaces including ChatGPT Shopping, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot.
Eligibility and Installation
ShelfScore requires an active Shopify store. By installing the app from the Shopify App Store, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. You must be the store owner or have explicit written authorization from the store owner to install and use the app.
Billing and Subscription
A free tier is available with no payment required and no time limit. Paid plans are billed monthly through Shopify's native billing system; you will be charged on your Shopify billing cycle. All paid plans include a 14-day free trial — no credit card is required to begin a trial. You may cancel at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin. Cancellation takes effect immediately. No partial-month refunds are issued, consistent with Shopify's billing policies. Shopify handles all payment processing; ShelfScore does not store or process payment card information.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to: attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract ShelfScore's proprietary audit logic or scoring methodology; use the service to audit Shopify stores that you do not own or do not have explicit written authorization to audit; automate or scrape audit results in bulk using bots, scripts, or unauthorized API access; or use the service in any manner that violates Shopify's Partner Program Agreement or Shopify's Acceptable Use Policy.
Audit Results and Disclaimer
Audit scores and recommendations generated by ShelfScore are informational only. ShelfScore makes no representation or warranty that implementing recommended changes will result in any specific increase in traffic, AI search visibility, revenue, or other business outcomes. AI platform algorithms change frequently and without notice. Results depend on many factors outside ShelfScore's control, including but not limited to changes to ChatGPT, Google, Perplexity, and Bing Copilot ranking systems and product indexing policies.
Intellectual Property
ShelfScore and its underlying audit methodology, scoring framework, and software are the intellectual property of ShelfScore. Installing the app grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for your own store(s) within the bounds of your subscription tier. Nothing in these terms grants you ownership of any ShelfScore intellectual property.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ShelfScore shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, or loss of business opportunity, arising out of or relating to your use of the service. ShelfScore's total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising under these terms shall not exceed the total fees you paid to ShelfScore in the 30 days immediately preceding the claim.
Service Availability
ShelfScore will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain service availability. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, infrastructure issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We will provide advance notice of scheduled maintenance via email where reasonably practicable.
Privacy
Your use of ShelfScore is subject to our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference.
Changes to These Terms
ShelfScore may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email to the address associated with your Shopify account at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida.
